Noce Travertine
Deep Walnut Tones
Fully Restored

Noce travertine’s deep walnut-brown and chocolate tones bring warmth and drama to Palm Beach County estate interiors and outdoor spaces. Its richer color makes dulling and discoloration immediately visible — and equally dramatic when reversed by professional restoration.

Why Noce Travertine Stands Apart

The Richest Travertine
Demands the Right Restoration

Noce travertine — “noce” meaning walnut in Italian — is distinguished from standard Roman and Silver travertines by its dramatically darker color palette. Its deep walnut-brown, chocolate, and mocha tones with cream and ivory veining make it one of the most visually striking travertine varieties used in Palm Beach County estate homes, upscale commercial spaces, and luxury outdoor living areas.

Like all travertines, Noce contains natural voids and is susceptible to etch damage from acid contact and surface wear from foot traffic. But its darker background creates a specific challenge that lighter travertines don’t share: white mineral deposits from Palm Beach County’s hard water are extremely visible against the deep brown surface, and any inconsistency in the finish — a dull zone, a mis-matched repair, a swirl mark — stands out sharply against the rich color field.

At Lifestyle Marble Restoration, we’ve restored Noce travertine in estate foyers, master bathrooms, outdoor kitchens, and pool surrounds throughout Palm Beach County. We use color-matched dark fill material for the voids, calibrate our diamond honing to the specific density of Noce, and seal with penetrating products that preserve and enhance the stone’s deep, warm tones without adding unwanted color shift.

What We Do

Every Statuario Surface.
Handled With Precision.

From a single etched countertop to a full-estate floor — we restore Statuario to the standard its value demands.

High-Gloss Polish Restoration

Statuario is almost always installed at a mirror-gloss finish that showcases its intense white field. We restore that gloss using calibrated diamond progression — no dullness, no haziness, no over-polish.

Etch Mark Removal

Statuario’s high-polish surface makes acid etching especially visible. We remove the damaged surface layer with fine diamond abrasives and re-polish to an exact match — invisible against the surrounding stone.

Floor & Pool Deck Honing

Statuario’s dramatic veining is its defining feature. Our technicians work carefully around vein patterns during grinding and polishing to ensure the character of the stone is fully preserved, never blurred or disrupted.

Countertop & Waterfall Island Restoration

Statuario waterfall kitchen islands are among the most striking — and most etched — surfaces we restore. We eliminate etch rings, surface scratches, and dulling and return the surface to its original showroom depth.

Shower & Feature Wall Revival

Statuario is frequently used as a full-wall feature in luxury master bathrooms. We restore both wall slabs and floor tiles in a single visit using wet-environment diamond work and shower-rated penetrating sealers.

Penetrating Sealer Application

Every Statuario restoration ends with a professional penetrating sealer that protects the stone’s pores from future acid damage and moisture without adding any surface sheen or altering the stone’s appearance.

Our Process

Four Steps to
Noce Travertine That Looks New

1

Deep Clean & Assess

We strip surface contaminants and assess etch depth, finish level, and porosity. A test patch is done on larger jobs.

2

Diamond Honing

Progressive diamond abrasives remove the etched layer and level the surface to a uniform, scratch-free plane.

3

Polish to Match

We finish at your floor’s original grit level — mirror-gloss, satin, or honed matte — so the restoration is invisible.

4

Seal & Protect

Premium penetrating sealer is applied and buffed in. Your Calacatta is walkable within hours, protected for years.

Noce Travertine FAQs

Common Questions About
Noce Travertine Restoration

Yes — this is one of the most important aspects of Noce restoration. We carry dark-toned fill materials in multiple shades of walnut, chocolate, and mocha to match the specific depth of your installation. We test the fill color in a small area before proceeding across the floor to ensure a seamless result. Using the wrong fill color — particularly a beige product used on lighter travertines — creates an immediately visible and very difficult-to-fix problem on dark Noce.
Those white spots are almost certainly hard water mineral deposits — calcium and magnesium from Palm Beach County’s water supply that are deposited on the dark surface as water evaporates. They’re especially visible on Noce because of the color contrast. Our de-calcification treatment dissolves them completely, and a proper penetrating sealer applied afterward significantly slows their reappearance. We’ll also advise on cleaning practices that prevent future buildup.
The right penetrating sealer can slightly enhance the depth and richness of Noce’s walnut tones — similar to the “wet look” you’d see when the stone is damp. We’ll show you the sealer effect on a test area before applying it across the floor so you can decide whether you prefer the enhanced depth or a more natural dry look. We never apply color-enhancing coatings without your explicit approval.
A typical Noce floor of 400–800 sq ft is completed in one day including hole filling, honing, and sealing. Outdoor pool deck and patio projects are sized individually during your free estimate.
pH-neutral stone cleaners only. Avoid bleach or any acidic products — these etch the surface and lighten the dark tones, which is especially obvious on Noce. Our Neutral Fresh Marble Cleaner is safe for all travertine including Noce and is included complimentary with every service over $1,000.
