Quartzite
Restoration in
Aventura, FL
Aventura’s most prestigious kitchens and bathrooms increasingly feature quartzite — Super White, Taj Mahal, and Sea Pearl — prized for its marble-like aesthetics and far greater durability. When scratches, surface buildup, or a lost mirror finish reduce its brilliance, we restore it to full clarity using diamond abrasives calibrated precisely to quartzite’s hardness.

The Marble Look.
The Durability
Aventura Demands.
Open any design magazine featuring a Sunny Isles penthouse or an Aventura waterfront kitchen, and you’ll see quartzite — specifically Super White, Taj Mahal, or Sea Pearl — installed as the headline surface. Real estate listings throughout the Bal Harbour to Aventura corridor increasingly call out quartzite kitchen islands as headline features, and for good reason: quartzite delivers the dramatic veining and luminosity of high-end Italian marble without the acid-etching vulnerability that makes marble impractical in high-use kitchens.
But quartzite’s hardness — significantly greater than any marble — also means that restoration requires diamond abrasives and techniques calibrated specifically to the material. A marble polishing company using marble-grit tooling on quartzite will produce inadequate results. We’ve restored Super White, Taj Mahal, and Sea Pearl quartzite countertops, floors, and waterfall islands throughout Aventura, Bal Harbour, and the Sunny Isles corridor — and we bring the right equipment and the right expertise for each variety.

Complete Quartzite
Restoration Services
Super White, Taj Mahal, and Sea Pearl quartzite — countertops, waterfall islands, vanities, and floors. Scratch removal, surface clarity restoration, sealer haze elimination, and warm-tone-safe sealing throughout Aventura’s luxury properties.
Surface Clarity Restoration
Quartzite’s brilliant white or iridescent surface loses clarity when micro-scratches and contamination accumulate. Our diamond progression — calibrated to quartzite’s specific hardness — restores the full surface luminosity that makes Super White, Taj Mahal, and Sea Pearl so distinctive.
Scratch & Abrasion Removal
Despite quartzite’s hardness, deep scratches from quartz particles, metal utensils, and abrasive contact do occur on high-use countertops. We use diamond abrasives harder than quartzite to remove them effectively and restore a uniform, scratch-free surface.
Waterfall Island Restoration
Quartzite waterfall kitchen islands — the headline feature of Aventura’s most prestigious kitchens — require precise restoration of mitered edges and vertical waterfall faces as well as the horizontal countertop surface. We restore every inch uniformly.
Warm-Tone & Iridescence Preservation
Taj Mahal’s gold veining and Sea Pearl’s silver-green iridescence require sealer products specifically evaluated for their color effect. The wrong sealer permanently cools Taj Mahal’s warm tones. We test sealer effect on a small area before applying it across your surface.
Stain Treatment
Despite quartzite’s acid resistance, oil and organic staining can penetrate the stone’s pores. We use appropriate poultice treatments to draw out embedded stains before any polishing begins — especially on Super White quartzite where staining is most visible.
Penetrating Sealer Application
We use penetrating sealers specifically appropriate to quartzite’s pore structure — different from marble sealers. Non-yellowing formulas for Super White and Sea Pearl, warm-tone-safe formulas for Taj Mahal. Never topical coatings that create haze on these high-value surfaces.

Four Steps to
Quartzite That Looks New
The same four-step process we’ve refined over 15 years — adapted to quartzite’s specific hardness and the precision that Aventura’s highest-value countertop surfaces demand.
Deep Clean & Assess
We strip sealer residue, contaminants, and surface film, then assess scratch depth, finish level, and staining. We confirm the material is true quartzite (not dolomitic marble) before selecting tools.
Fill & Hone
Progressive diamond abrasives calibrated to quartzite’s hardness remove scratches and surface dulling. The sequence progresses further than marble work — quartzite requires finer finishing grits for full clarity.
Treat & Polish
Any embedded staining is addressed with poultice treatment. The mirror finish is then restored — on Sea Pearl, achieving the high polish level required for full silver-green iridescence is the final polish goal.
Seal & Protect
Penetrating sealer appropriate to the specific variety — non-yellowing for Super White and Sea Pearl, warm-tone-safe for Taj Mahal. We test sealer effect in a small area first before full application.
The Quartzite Standard
for Aventura’s Kitchens
True Quartzite Expertise
Super White, Taj Mahal, and Sea Pearl each require different polish calibration, different sealer chemistry, and different finish targets. We correctly identify the material and use the right approach for each.
Countertop & Waterfall Island Precision
We restore horizontal countertop surfaces, mitered edges, and vertical waterfall faces to the same uniform finish — essential for quartzite islands where inconsistency is immediately visible.
Color-Safe Sealer Selection
The wrong sealer permanently changes Taj Mahal’s warm gold tones or suppresses Sea Pearl’s iridescence. We evaluate every sealer for its specific effect on the quartzite variety before applying it.

Questions Aventura Clients
Ask Before Booking
Is my Super White quartzite actually quartzite or marble?
This is one of the most important questions in Aventura’s luxury stone market. Some material sold as “Super White quartzite” is actually dolomitic marble — a softer material that etches readily from acid contact. True quartzite will not etch. We can identify the material with a simple pH test during your free estimate. The restoration approach differs significantly: marble requires different diamond grits and finishing techniques than true quartzite, so correct identification before any work begins is essential.
My Taj Mahal quartzite island looks dull — is that an etch mark?
If it’s true quartzite, it is not an etch mark — quartzite does not react chemically with acids. The dull area on your Taj Mahal countertop is almost certainly a concentration of micro-scratches from abrasive contact, or residue from a cleaning product or wax polish that has accumulated. On Taj Mahal’s warm white surface, this shows as a cloudy patch that suppresses the gold veining. We identify the cause during your free estimate and restore the surface clarity with calibrated diamond polishing.
Will restoration change the warm gold tones in my Taj Mahal?
Not when done correctly. The warm gold and bronze tones in Taj Mahal quartzite’s veining are in the stone itself — not in any surface coating. The restoration process removes only the damaged surface layer and repolishes. The critical variable is sealer choice: some penetrating sealers cool Taj Mahal’s warm tones slightly. We evaluate sealers specifically for this effect and test in a small area so you can confirm the color result before we apply it across the full surface.
My Sea Pearl quartzite has lost its shimmer — can that be restored?
Yes — in almost all cases. Sea Pearl’s silver-green iridescent effect requires a true mirror polish to be fully visible. When micro-scratches from daily use accumulate, they scatter light at the surface rather than reflecting it uniformly, and the shimmer disappears. Restoring the mirror polish to the specific high finish level Sea Pearl requires brings the iridescence back completely. We do a test patch first so you can see the result before we proceed across the full surface.
Can you restore a quartzite waterfall island including the sides?
Yes — this is one of our specialty services. Quartzite waterfall islands in Aventura kitchens feature mitered edges and vertical waterfall faces that need to be restored to the same finish level as the horizontal countertop. We restore every face of the island uniformly so there is no visible difference in sheen or clarity between the top, edges, and waterfall sides.
How long does quartzite countertop restoration take?
A typical quartzite countertop project takes 3–5 hours — slightly longer than comparable marble projects because quartzite’s greater hardness requires the diamond progression to extend through finer grits before the final polish. A full quartzite floor of 400–800 sq ft takes approximately one and a half days. We provide an exact timeline during your free on-site estimate.
