Housing

A Town Made Almost Entirely of Homes

Highland Beach was incorporated in 1949 by a small group of residents who needed their own water supply. Today it is a town of roughly 4,300 year-round residents, a number that rises to about 8,500 each winter. Its main street is A1A, which separates the oceanfront from the Intracoastal side. Commercial activity is minimal; the town is residential by design.

Much of the housing is condominium towers of 10 to 15 stories, plus townhouses and estate homes in gated communities. Many buildings date from the 1970s through the 2000s, which brings a wide range of stone: original marble and terrazzo in older buildings, and newer limestone and marble in recently renovated units.

Scheduling Around Seasonal Residents

Highland Beach is a seasonal town. Many owners are away for the summer and present for the winter, and they often want stone work done while they are gone. That suits restoration: an empty unit can be ground, polished, and sealed without a household around it, and the floor is ready by the time owners return.

We schedule around building rules for summer work and, if you are not here, coordinate access with your property manager or concierge. We send before-and-after photos when we finish.

Balconies, Terraces, and Salt Air

Most Highland Beach units have balconies or terraces facing the water, and the stone on them gets the full weight of salt, UV, and rain. Where the building allows treatment of exterior surfaces, we clean, repair, and seal with products rated for that exposure.

In this stretch of Palm Beach County we also work in Casuarina and Toscana. Neighboring towns include Delray Beach to the north and Boca Raton to the south.
